Scheduled Events
Reservations for the Hozho' Retreat House will be on a first-come, first-served basis with week-long groups having preference over weekend groups. Small groups may be asked to share space with others. Groups assisting with GSM ministry projects also have preference. Individual reservations are possible when no groups are scheduled. Know that summer is our busiest time. Groups which participate in our Partner Planning Meeting have preference at that time.
Facilities
Good Shepherd Mission is pleased to be able to provide housing for visitors to the Navajo Nation. The Hozho' Retreat House has four bedrooms with 16 beds, two bathrooms, two lounge areas and 4 couch-beds, sleeps up to 22 people. The kitchen includes all major appliances as well as dishes, utensils, pots, pans and some spices and baking staples. Bed linens, blankets and bathroom towels are provided.
Currently, we do not have formal dining tables inside for large groups. Outside on the porch, there are two picnic tables for dining in good weather. No cleaning service is provided during your stay, so please remember our motto: "Where helping hands are cherished."
GUEST RATE
Lodging: $25 Per PERSON Per NIGHT
- Most people cook their own meals but we can recommend persons to prepare meals. Menus and costs are negotiated with the cooks.
- Scheduling assistance for cultural programs, activities and demonstrations: $20 per event for scheduling arrangements. Check our list of possible cultural programs.

MINISTRY PARTNERS
Good Shepherd Mission invites guests coming to the Mission and staying in the Hozho’ Retreat House to become Partners in our ministry to Navajoland. To become a Ministry Partner we invite you or your group to pledge:
- 50% of your time with us to working on ministry programs of the Mission, e.g. Vacation Bible School and/or GSM service projects at the Mission or on the Reservation
- A minimum $150.00 donation to GSM for its ministry programs.
- Participation by at least one person in the annual Partner Planning Meeting.
As Ministry Partners, you will receive in return:
- Lodging in the Hozho’ Retreat House for $18.00 Per PERSON Per NIGHT
- Free scheduling assistance for cultural programs
- A parish sponsored potluck dinner following the Wednesday evening Service.
- Regular email updates about the ministry at Good Shepherd Mission
- Remembrance in our community prayers on Sundays.

All dates reserved on our calendar are for those who have PAID their deposit fees. If you have determined a date, please send your deposit immediately or your date could be taken by someone who HAS paid their deposit. Your registration is also very important, so please send that with your deposit. Thank you!!! =) |
